Anthropic and manufactured manipulative hype strategies

I don’t like Anthropic and their manufactured hype strategies. They act like: ‘Oh people, it’s so scary, it’s so powerful, we’re going to disable it,’ or: ‘Wow, it’s so good, it’s so powerful, maybe nobody should be allowed to see it.’ They even seem to be fooling the currently very stupid U.S. government to restrict it for the whole world. That is absurd and dirty. These guys just gonna lost a lot of trust of the smart people after all.

But what interests me most here is the kind of crowd manipulation they use. Small accounts and ordinary people start repeating that crap over and over again, creating another wave of fake hype. That is what scares me most, because today it is so easy to manipulate people through social media by spreading any kind of narrative just by screaming loud enough. You just scream loudly enough, abuse the topic long enough, and slowly people begin to believe almost any kind of nonsense. One day, that kind of manipulation is going to cost society a lot of blood.

I personally never use anything made by Anthropic, and I’m never going to. The things they do are shameful. I really don’t like these greedy capitalist practices, and I hope they eventually pay for this mess by losing people’s trust. And by the way, it is overpriced garbage. I’ll remind you all that there are plenty of well-polished local models and many other alternatives to their products
