I often get questions like why I don’t use Twitter for my short texts. Answer is simple: it’s a poor-quality platform and a waste of time.
If I’m not directly involved in a war (tho always ready if you touch my space…), I avoid visiting places poisoned by the weak, and Twitter feels like one of the first of its kind in the social internet space , a big structure being occupied and vandalized by a putrid moron. Sometimes it happens with countries too.
It’s like any other organization, big or small; it can be ruined if it falls into the wrong hands (or minds).
If you really value quality and self-respect, you wouldn’t live in places like today’s Russia or Venezuela, or under any oppressive authoritarian regimes like those.
Not only physical, but many digital spaces already feels the same, run by random billionaires (techno-feudalism), serve their own idiocracy and decay. Should you degrade with them? You’re either free or you die—never a slave. Why ever to give your energy to such places, which seem doomed to the rule of pseudo-leaders.
I don’t seek fat or fame, less is better. Currently, I only use this website and, rarely, Tumblr and Bandcamp (both for more than 10 years already, good to see they don’t put much noise on their products like many other guys in big tech already got used to do). A good mood and clean air are much more valuable to me than ‘luxury’ pollution. Life is too short to spend it on bad quality, to be honest.”
